5 Tips for Finding the Perfect Panda Shirt for Men

Panda Things wants to make it easy to find a panda shirt that’s perfect for you, whatever your style. Though your style will need to heavily feature pandas for this to work.

Here’s five things we think about when picking a shirt online.

1. Check your measurements

You probably know your t shirt size, but when was the last time you took some actual measurements? Manufacturers are starting to cut men’s tees in more different styles and as a result the trusty S/M/L might not be as reliable as it once was.

If you want a shirt that fits YOU perfectly the first step is to take a chest, neck and arm measurement.

Spend a bit of time reevaluating whether or not you’re buying t shirts that are properly sized for you – you might be surprised.

2. Don't be afraid to try things out

Shopping online means no chance to try things on, but don’t let that put you off.

Most brands have really solid returns policies nowadays and expect customers to order things to try on all of the time. There’s nothing awkward about ordering a few sizes and sending the ones that don’t fit back.

This is especially important when you’re shopping with a new brand for the first time. Chances are they’ll get most of their shirts in a similar fit, so once you know your size you should be good to go.

3. Materials matter, everyone's different

If you take some brands at their word, you’d swear that a non-100% organic cotton tee was an abomination. That might be a little strong for our taste.

100% cotton is great and all, but it’s not the only option out there and it’ll usually cost you more than a cotton blend or a fully synthetic option.

There’s nothing wrong with scoring a bargain and materials are personal preference in the end, so you might prefer something different.

Synthetics are often better at moisture wicking than pure cotton too, so they might be better suited for hotter climates or warmer seasons.

4. Create outfits as you buy

It’s always tempting, especially with really fun t shirts, to just buy a shirt you love. But it helps to think about what you’ll wear the t shirt with. That way you can even blend a pretty out there panda shirt into your usual wardrobe.

Like to dress a bit indie or rock and roll? We’ve got loads of options in black, grey and white that’ll blend in with your black skinny jeans and converse.

Prefer something a little louder? There’s tons of colorful options in our men’s t shirt section.

Thinking about outfits guarantees that when you buy something you love you actually end up wearing it.

5. Think about cost per wear

We’re all aboutt value rather than cost, if you’re getting quality and somthing you really like, then paying a little more doesn’t feel as bad.

With clothes of any sort we like to think about cost per wear – something might cost $30 but if you’re going to wear it once a week for a year you’ll have spent less than 60 cents per wear.

Likewise if you buy a cheap tee at $15 but only wear it three times because it isn’t very comfortable, well you’ve paid $5 per wear for the privilege.

Everyone has their own budget, but thinking about cost per wear can help justify splashing out sometimes on pieces you’ll get real value from.
